I believe that there is nothing more important than unflinching kindness and support. I want to help ensure that the Bar (and society generally) is an accepting and supportive place that is inclusive to all. I have been affected by the plights of important people in my life who face every day struggles with discrimination, misgendering, prejudice and pejorative remarks. I am openly opposed to gender critical views. I am privileged enough to work in an area of law (Family Law) where I can, hopefully, make a difference to those affected. I am forever thankful to have such wonderful friends who are members of the LGBT+ community to educate and inform me; enabling me to be the best ally I can be. I am Matt. I am an ally.
